Mr. John, you are certainly part of the beautiful memories I have… From the moment I met you at the airport, you and my dear friend Gloria, in that beautiful car of yours, I felt so honored! And the joy of being able to share the cake celebrating your wedding anniversary! And some time later, with how much affection you welcomed me and my husband for lunch together! You will leave beautiful memories and many memories in my heart, in addition to an enormous gratitude for having welcomed my daughter as if she were yours. Gloria, my dear friend, I wish I was close to you to comfort you a little. Receive my affection and know that you will always be in my prayers. May God comfort everyone.

Today, we say goodbye to the man who was the light of my life, my beloved grandfather. I loved him more than words could ever fully express, and I miss him each and every day. He wasn’t just a grandfather; he was a source of love, strength, and joy for our entire family.

He was a passionate South Sydney Rabbitohs fan, always full of life and spirit, and that same energy and enthusiasm he showed for the game was what he brought to every part of his life. Grandfather had this way of making even the simplest moments feel special, and his warmth and kindness left a lasting impact on everyone lucky enough to know him.

Grandfather, thank you for everything you did, not just for me but for all of us. Your wisdom, your laughter, and the memories we shared will stay with me forever. I’ll carry your love and the lessons you taught me with me, and I’ll continue making you proud every day of my life. You will never be forgotten.

Love eternal. xx

Dear Uncle John, no matter the trauma I was facing as a little girl I always felt comfort and safety knowing that I could run next door and you would be there to care for me.
You were a tower of strength and a second father.
May we meet again in heaven
