Rob passed away peacefully on 1 December 2025,
with his loving family by his side at St Vincent’s Hospital, Palliative Care.
Aged 70 Years
Beloved husband of Kim.
Cherished father and father-in-law of Christopher and Leigh, Todd and Cade.
Adored Poppy of Abraham and Solomon.
Sadly missed by the Riches and Young families.
Rob will be remembered for his kindness, strength, and the deep love he held for his family.
His warmth, humour and gentle presence touched everyone who knew him.

Family and friends are warmly invited to attend Rob’s Funeral Service to be held at Parkview Funeral Home, Goonellabah on Tuesday 9th December at 10am.

Today, we honour and remember a remarkable soul- someone who welcomed us with his beloved wife Kim into this country 19 years ago, when everything was new, unfamiliar, and overwhelming. Kim and Rob embraced us like family offering warmth, comfort and sense of belonging that we will forever cherish.
Rob touched our lives in ways words can barely capture. Whether through simple conversations, small acts of care, or the way he made every gathering feel joyful, he created memories that will stay with us forever. His legacy is one of love, compassion, and the ability to bring people together.
To Kim and the two beautiful sons and their families -our thoughts, love and deepest sympathies are with you.
May his soul rest in peace, and may his spirit continue to inspire us to show the same kindness and humanity he so effortlessly gave.
Rob was such a warm caring man, I met Rob when I first worked with Kim 18 years ago,
I mentioned in passing that we needed our entrance brickwork done and he said I can help with that (just like it’s nothing) he was so clever just came out and did the job.
Rob loved to have a chat, he would always come and have a coffee with Kim and I before we went off to work.
Rest in Peace Rob, you will be watching over Kim, Christopher, Todd and families.
