Dear Cheryl, i am sorry we lost contact in the last 10 years. I have great memories of our younger years. From challenging attitudes in the late 1970s on just about everything, in line with societal changes of the time, to the more personal enlightenment resulting from our friendship. Our shared interest (with colleagues, partners and friends) in folk music, literature and poetry helped introduce me to a vibrant social life. You introduced me to feminisim, alternative therapies and also helped my understanding of mental health issues. You were the first to alert me when a family member was hospitalised with bipolar disorder when you were working as a nurse. Later you were influential in me riding motorcycles, introduced me to permaculture gardening ( i will forever remember the crops growing on the roof top patio in Chatswood!)
Despite your obvious expertise in so many areas, I am so glad you returned to your first love, music, for a career.. Thank you Cheyrl. Rest in Peace.
With love, Denise
