Passed away peacefully at the Nimbin Hospital on Saturday 1st June 2024
aged 93.
Much loved and adored mother; grandmother; great grandmother; great great grandmother and friend to many.
Rest in Peace.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Daisy’s life which is to be held at the Salvation Army Hall, 30 Cambridge Street Goonellabah NSW 2480
on Thursday 13th June at 12:00pm.

How sad. Daisy was a wonderful person -so full of love and curiosity, I’m glad I spent time with her last year. She was a mother to so many. My love especially to Denise and Greg.

Daisy was a wonderful woman and was like a mum to those of us who arrived following the Aquarius festival. Her cafe was a warm and welcoming place to be, and we all loved her. I’m very sad to hear of her passing. My condolences to all of her family .
Daisy was a very special person who was loved and respected by so many of us.
I was deeply saddened by her passing and will miss our little chats up in town.

Daisy’s name conjures up many memories of my childhood growing up in Nimbin. Condolences to the Stewart family from the Walker family. RIP
Condolences to Daisy May Stewart’s family and friends.
In the repopulated Nimbin Village and surrounding areas Daisy was a firm and loving connection for the new settlers since 1973.
Daisy had a warmth, charm and caring awareness towards what was happening.
At the original May1973 happening she dived in to assist wherever she could. She ran a shop that fed the town.
Daisy was so concerned about the prosperity of Nimbin that she never deserted it. She freely gave help and so many folk benefited from her kindness.
We are so blessed to have had her association.

Daisy was indeed a special person, one of the most open-minded minded and generous people. My condolences to her family.
So sad to hear of Daisy’s passing. She made my young family feel most welcome after the Aquarius Festival. Daisy’s Cafe had the warmest ambiance. I can’t imagine how many pots of tea she served back in the early 70’s. RIP
