Really sad to hear of Anthony’s passing and so sorry I couldn’t be there to celebrate his life with his family and other friends. I was glad I got to catch up with Tony last Christmas in Ballina even though he was continuing to battle his illness.

I remember lots of good times, from sitting next to him in Geography class in Year 8 (with Ros Mayberry the teacher), playing the odd game of cricket against Tony and Mal, through to working in the same building as him (Defence Plaza, Sydney) in the late 90’s. We’d often catch up at odd times over social media. He was always good for a chat.

Mum and Dad (Ray and Helen Johnston) also send their condolences. Rest easy mate.

Tony,
I Will always remember your singing and great company on our road trip from Sydney to Ballina in 2015. Fond memories. We had a laugh. Whenever I drive on road trips I’ll think of you. It was a pleasure and an honour to be in your life.
You will be missed greatly.
Goodbye buddy.
Pete
