My sincere condolences to Bruce’s family. I grew up in Broadwater & still reside there(nee Judy Tegge). Loved & cherished all my talks with Bruce about all the good old times in Broadwater.
I apologise that I cannot attend Bruce’s funeral as I have another commitment.
Judy & Pat Elliott
Our condolences to the Nicholas family for their loss. In the 60s Bruce was a well known drummer in the All Stars band that played in the Northern Rivers district for many years. Other band members were Vin Maguire (Ballina), Bert Plenkovich (Broadwater) and John Mackney (Casino). So many great memories of Bruce and our band.

On behalf of the Northern Rivers Musician we would like to say a huge THANK YOU ‘Nicko’.. You helped and encouraged so many budding and struggling musicians over many decades, including myself and my mates who in the mid 80’s who you called ‘The Ballina Boys’.
You sold me my 1st guitar and amp, a 1985 Squire Strat and a 12 watt Marshall amp. Over the next few years, you would support my Gear acquisition syndrome (GAS) LOL, and allowed me to walk out of your shop on a number of occasions with guitars, amps, pedals that I could take home and try, or just pay off overtime, always encouraging and giving us the special Nicko deals.
We are all so appreciative and lucky to have known you, and you will be missed as you were a local legend.
R.I.P Bruce, and again THANK YOU!!.
I was a pleasure to know Bruce ( Nicho’, the Mayor of Broadwater) and his Family from as far back at 1983 when I was working for the Yamaha company and called on Bruce every month and stay a day or so, for over 10 years. We visited Bruce with our family many times and I was glad I was able to come and visit him not so long ago.
Bruce’s infectious smile and wit will live in my heart forever.
RIP Bruce, your friend and ‘Son’ , Ian .
