Rest in light, love, and eternal peace Cathie.
Cathie was an extraordinary person, and deeply impacted my life, and was a chosen member of our family. Just as she wanted me to, I will remember Cathie as someone who always looked on the bright side. I will try to follow her example of looking for and appreciating the beauty and joy to be found in each day. I will remember Cathie for how much she loved her family, friends, good food, a beautiful landscape, music, travel, hiking and adventure. Cathie was fiercely intelligent, strong, loyal, compassionate, supportive, laughed easily and always gave sage advice. Cathie was the most beautiful friend to my Mum, Ailsa, and our family for 38 years. Cathie lived her faith. I have so much to thank Cathie for. I loved our time together over the years, and will honour her memory through the simple ritual of holding hands to pray, connect, and express gratitude at the dinner table. My love and condolences are with Cathie’s family, especially Shane, Jessica, Nick, Joe and Tom, Alex, Evie and Edward, her siblings and extended family, Cathie’s friends, colleagues, and all those who were lucky enough to have been in Cathie’s orbit. I will love and remember Cathie for the rest of my life.
My dear, darling Cathie,
Thank you for being my most amazing friend.
I will remember Cathie for always being so generous in spirit. She was kind, thoughtful, considerate, funny, and always gave wise counsel. Cathie was always so positive, and found the good in everything.
Dear Shane, Jessica, Nicholas, Joseph and Thomas, Alex, Evie Scout and Edward, all of Cathie’s extended family and friends, my love is with you always.
Ailsa xx
Dear Shane
Remembering time shared in the past even the very first time you introduced us to Cathy.
An incredibly sad loss for you.
You both chose well way back then.
Congratulations on your steadfast commitment to each other for all this time.
I trust you will go well travelling onwards from here.
