Dianne my wonderful, kind, and fun loving sister. In my early years you often laid aside your needs to look after those of your little brother. Your kindness and selflessness knew no bounds and that continued across the generations of my family as you became a much loved auntie and great aunt.
Jane and I will deeply miss the regular chats we had “across the miles” as we put the world and our families to rights, but hey no worries, as you will be forever with me, in my heart, and in my most treasured thoughts.
Much love now, and always, David

Dear Ian and family,
We are sending you all much love and our deepest sympathy on the sad passing of Diane. I hope your many happy memories of Diane will help you through this very difficult time. We certainly have lots of happy memories of spending time with Diane in Scotland as part of the wine club in Blanefield. We also really enjoyed meeting up with Diane and Ian when we came over to Australia, we had such fun.
With our deepest sympathies
Helen , Derek , Zack and Eloise.

Hi Ian,David, Laura and family,
So sorry to hear about Diane’s/ Mum passing. I was on holiday but Kate sent me the link to the service.
What a beautiful service, Diane would be so proud the loving way you all spoke, I was moved to tears.
The tributes, the music and photo show were so lovely.
Thank you for sharing the service as I have fond memories of Diane as a great neighbour, giving me advice on gardening and helping me with my Breast Cancer charity fund raising.
My thoughts are with you all and take care.

Dianne was my work colleague and a great friend. We both worked at The University of Glasgow for many years. She was the kindest person and always willing to help the students who passed through our department. On a more personal note she supported me through my husbands death with her strength and compassion. She lived for her family and you all gave her such joy. She will be sadly missed. My condolences to you Ian and the rest of the family.
Only found out today of the passing of Dianne. Unfortunately was unable to join on the live stream of the service but have just watched it and you all did so well, the words about Dianne were beautiful. I worked with her in the Garden centre in Milngavie, Scotland, and had a lot of great days there, along with numerous nights out at the local ‘beefeater’ for dinners and drinks with the ladies from work. She was so kind, funny and a very caring woman, we would always keep in touch through Facebook, seeing each other’s family photos and lovely days out. Lots of love to all the family and hope you keep thinking of all your happy memories x
Aunt Dianne you will be sorely missed
So sorry Ian and family for your huge loss. I could not asked for a better, kinder, and funnier Aunt. Dianne was always so generous and thoughtful towards myself and the boys. Boxing days at your house in Milngavie were some of my best memories growing up even with the usual family debate after dinner of course. It still doesn’t feel quite real here in Scotland that my lovely Aunt so full of life is truly gone but she is certainly not and won’t ever be forgotten. Xx
Love Lisa, James and the boys Riley and Robin
Dianne, you were my second mum….. we have been through so much…. childhood, holidays in france with your mum and all the crazy friends like Ann, Jimmy, Joan and Pete… my dad dying and then the holidays that followed with you, me, mum and Zoe….. all toasting my dad. Uni years and when I worked in gartnavel when you and mum came in after your friday lunch with the ladies…. when I met trit and he came to Glasgow for weekends and we went out in the west end on the Friday afternoons…. then lochlan came along and he was like your other grandchild…. I called you granny dianne when talking to him about you. He knew you even though he didnt see you all the time. Dianne, I will miss you dearly. You were kn of a kind….. have a fag (i won’t tell ian) and a whiskey in heaven with my dad and toast us all down here…. xxxxxxx
