Everyone Gary met has fond memories of his generosity.

Loved and sadly missed.

“sleep a lifetime; yes and breathe a last word;
you can feel my hand on your own;
I will be the last one; I’ll leave a light on;
let there be no darkness, in your heart”

“no need to forgive, no need to forget,
I know your mistakes and you know mine;
and while you’re sleeping I’ll try to make you proud;
so brother won’t you just close your eyes;
don’t be afraid, it’s my turn to chase the monsters away” …

Karen Price (née Fitzpatrick)says:

Gary was a really great guy and a big part of our life growing up. The Fitzys loved him like a big brother.

I remember playing volleyball with him as part of our family team. The sound and power of his serves was incredible. I remember countless times he would come visit my parents and be a fixture in our loungeroom.

Life is cruel sometimes and you have left us far too soon. Rest in peace Gary. You will forever be in our thoughts and hearts.

Much love to the family

Gary spent a lot of time with my family during his teens and early twenties. He was a kind and happy person. He was an excellent volleyballer and one of the reasons why the team was so successful.

Sending thoughts and prayers to his family.

Rest well in peace Gary.

Steve Fitzpatricksays:

Gary thanks for the memories from our bike rides (including the time I got my foot stuck in your spokes after racing so hard), school times and teenage adventures. There was never a more generous man with a bigger heart or arms. I’ll miss you and you’ll be missed by all of us many Fitzy’s and I know you have VIP access through the pearly gates. Rest in Peace mate. Fitzy

Michelle Fitzpatricksays:

Gary was introduced to us as a family friend when I was in high school. We quickly adopted him into our crazy Fitzpatrick world. I remember going to McDonald’s before school with my sister and he would joke around saying,”I’m going to call the school, you guys are wagging”.He had a great sense of humour. He taught me to never take friendship for granted. At Xmas time he brought around a large tin of cookies or big box of chocolates. As years passed he visited us in different months of the years and it was his presence that was the gift ( better than any sweets). We made sure we were home to greet him and just listen to his stories. He will be greatly missed. Our prayers go out to the family. May you rest in peace Gary. Fly high with the angels ❤️❤️❤️
Michelle Fitzpatrick and the rest of the Fitzys including mum and dad (Jenny and Laurie Fitzpatrick)

Susan Fitzpatricksays:

Gary was such a warm, always happy and caring big bloke. He was one of my brothers best friends when I was a teenager. He loved visiting and was always welcomed in our home. He got along with everyone he met. He was a big part of our family growing up. Going to school. Playing volleyball and just hanging out. He will be sadly missed in our hearts. Our prayers and thoughts go out to all the family. Rest in peace Gary 🙏 💕

Words fall short of expressing my sadness after learning about Gary’s passing. Even though Gary and I never met in real life I already feel his absence. Gary had the amazing ability to always make me smile and laugh. I will cherish our chats and hold those memories close to my heart. The light Gary brought into my life now shines down from above. We are all grieving his death; may we find comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering.
