Late of Alstonville.

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, 2nd November 2023.

Much loved and sadly missed partner, father, father-in-law,

stepfather, poppy and uncle.

 

Family and friends are warmly invited to attend Robert’s Funeral Service

to be held at the Richmond Chapel, Parkview Funeral Home,

21 Kalinga Street, Ballina on Tuesday, 14 November 2023

It is always sad when you lose and old friend and mate like Chalkie, we worked together, went camping together, off shore fishing together and enjoyed each others company especially over a beer. I will always treasure the company we kept.

So sorry to learn of Bob's passing ,we were friends since training school.says:

Bob and I have been friends since 1964.In 1969 we were called up for National service and were posted to Balcolm Army school of SIGNALS.Because we were already trained tele.techs the ARMY decided to train us to do a 2year course in 6 weeks.There were lots of PMG Boys called up.(s0 much for random selection).We were posted to WATSONIA Army camp Bob went to 127 Sig regiment I went to 6 Sig regiment.I subsequently got posted VIETNAM .I was shocked to here of Bob’s death as we communicating only a few days ago.My deepest sympathy goes out Bob’s family ,he will be missed by my wife and myself.
