Mrs Cec Smidt 1925 – 2022

I sadly wish to advise of the recent passing of Cec Smidt (nee Gaddes), Brick’s loving wife and Deirdre’s darling Mum.

Cec passed away peacefully at Villa Maria Brisbane on Saturday 31st December 2022, at the grand age of 97.

As was her wish, Cec will be laid to rest beside her beloved Brick, in Casino Lawn Cemetery, at a date to be confirmed.

Cec cherished and was grateful for her dear family and the wonderful friends she had to leave behind in Casino.

Deirdre would like to thank all those who lovingly supported her Mum, particularly after her Dad’s passing.

Deirdre would also like to thank the very special staff at RSL LifeCare Casino, who cared for her Mum whilst she continued to live at home, before moving to Brisbane.

Relatives and friends of Cec are invited to attend a celebration of her life to be held this Thursday 12^th January 2023 commencing at 11.00am at The Arentz Chapel, Parkview Funeral Home, 41 Walker Street Casino. Followed by Burial in Casino Lawn Cemetery.
