Alan and Julie McRae, Tottenhamsays:

This dear person the son of my wonderful nurse friend, Doreen Martin.
Doreen’s care was always of highest integrity, also, and was never necessary to check her work, caring for the elderly in Kooringle Nursing Home. I imagine her son too gave of his very best to clients and colleagues. Only more so, with (always, in His chosen profession) the ever present risk of giving even their lives, for their fellow man.
R.I.P. Steve
Many hearts are aching, but grateful for your life.

Alan and Julie McRae, Tottenhamsays:

We send our deepest sympathy to STEPHEN COLIN MARTIN’S family at this very sad time.

Our families have been closely associated both as friends and relatives for many years. My mother in law, Annie Swanson, and Steve’s grandfather, Bill Martin were first cousins. I live streamed Steve’s service. An amazing tribute, so pleased to see how many people admired Steve by their attendance. Such a wonderful life but behind the scenes such a dreadful family tragedy. We knew Steve and admired how you grew stronger and rose out of such cruelty. Sorry for being so blunt but a good man and his Ben were made to suffer but I believe became stronger. Lots of love Camel, you proved your worth. 💙💙🏁

Sandra Lapworthsays:

God bless you Sonny what a loving and honourable tribute to your Dad. Condolences to you Lorena and your wonderful Sonny. Beautiful, meaningful tribute. Love Sandra.

Tim and Ros Baylysays:

Dear Lorena and Sonny,

Such a great guy. Such a big loss.

Steve was one of THE funniest and most genuine people you could ever meet. He could light up a room or a party with his personality, but he was also always interested in how you were going, what you were up to and if you were going okay. His joking personality cloaked a true heart – but it was never far from the surface.

He will be missed by all who knew him.

Thinking of you at this time,

Tim and Ros Bayly

We have just learned of Steve’s passing – so shocked and send our belated condolences to Steve’s family, particularly Sonny and Lorena.
Steve would drop in to see us just to say hi, and always have a story and always so supportive and so funny . Steve certainly brightened up the world for those around him .
All our love to you Steve,
Nikki and Tony

Alan & Michelle Whitesays:

Dear Lorena & Sonny

We have only just learned the very sad news of Steve’s passing and are so heartbroken for you both and all who loved him. When we first moved to Knockrow Steve befriended us and made us feel so welcome. He was a fantastic neighbour, always so helpful and friendly and our son Callum had so much fun with Sonny. We moved away just two years later, but earlier this year Sonny recognised Callum at a school event and was just as welcoming and friendly – just like his dad. We’re so sorry Steve is no longer lighting up this world, but he certainly lives on in you Sonny and we wish you and your mum peace and strength. Steve was a great guy, always ready with a kind word and laugh. He is so missed.

Much love

Alan, Michelle & Callum
