Rest In Peace mate.
Love you Vaughan, a true gentleman, we will go to the races when I see you on the
Other side… we will have a great day in Paradise… SEE you THERE…
Remembering a caring person always with a smile and an extended hand to support others. You always were bigger than life itself . Sending rainbows to all your family as they say goodbye .
Debbie and Ron – always remembered in our hearts
Vaughan was a man of many passions, and those who knew him could easily recall his love for fishing and cooking. Whether casting a line by the water’s edge, cooking up a storm in the kitchen, or simply enjoying the peace of the great outdoors, fishing and cooking were where Vaughan found his solace. But his true gift lay in his ability to connect with others. He had a knack for meeting new people, and his charm and humour made everyone feel like a lifelong friend from the moment they met.
If you knew Vaughan, you also would have heard one of his jokes. He had an infectious sense of humour that could brighten any room, with each punchline delivered so perfectly that laughter was guaranteed. It was one of the many ways he brought joy to those around him.
Vaughan had a deep love for his animals and took pride in caring for them all. Whether at the farm or spending time at the ‘Top Place,’ he found fulfilment in the simplicity and peace of rural life. The farm was not just a place to live but a source of endless happiness where he could enjoy the company of his family and his passion for the great outdoors.
An enthusiastic outdoorsman, Vaughan loved shooting—he enjoyed being out in the wild hunting game or testing his aim at clay targets. His skill and precision were only matched by his love for the sport and the time he spent perfecting it.
More than anything, Vaughan had a generous heart. He was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need, often going out of his way to help others. He never hesitated to offer support, advice, or simply a listening ear. His willingness to help will be remembered as one of his most enduring qualities.
As well as his love for the great outdoors he also had an undeniable love for his wife Sharon, which included her five sons. He embraced them as his own and found immense joy in being part of their lives. He was a constant source of support and love, both his biological and step family were his pride and joy. He enjoyed looking at pictures and videos of his grandchildren and talked of them often sharing laughs, stories, or simply enjoying each other’s company, Vaughan’s heart was always full when he was with his family.
Vaughan’s life was filled with laughter, love, and kindness, and those who knew him are better for it. His memory will live on in the stories we tell, the laughter we share, and the kindness we extend to others, just as he did.
Vale Vaughan, a good and true friend. Fond memories from the Harris family.
We will cherish the memories of our times spent together.
