Today, we gather to celebrate the life of a remarkable woman, our “Aunty Yvonne”. She was more than just an Aunty to us; she was a guiding star, an amazing example of how to “live life right”.

Aunty Yvonne had a unique ability to make everyone feel special, always knowing the right words to say and the perfect moments to share a hug or a smile. Her kindness knew no bounds, and her generosity touched the lives of many.
She was a woman of great strength and character, facing life’s challenges with grace and resilience. Her spirit was unbreakable, and her heart was always open. Whether it was through her thoughtful advice, or her unwavering support, she made a lasting impact on everyone she met.

Whilst we might not have seen one another as much as we would have liked, we always looked forward to time spent together. Even time spent talking on the phone was cherished. Aunty Yvonne had a way of bringing people together, creating an atmosphere of warmth. Her stories, filled with wisdom and humour, will be forever cherished in our hearts.

As we gather here today, we remember her not with sadness, but with gratitude for the love she shared and the lessons she taught us. Her legacy lives on in the kindness we show to others, the strength we find in difficult times, and the love we hold for our family.
Aunty Yvonne, you will be deeply missed, but your spirit will always be with us. You are now with your beloved Murray, and I know Mum and Dad will have welcomed you as well. Thank you for being a shining light in our lives. This is not a goodbye, this is knowing that we’ll see you again.
