Wow I have been deeply saddened by the loss of Scotty as he was one in a million kind of bloke. I knew him when he was in Perth last time and we were great mates always laughing and having a great time. We. Stayed in contact over the years and enjoyed a yarn over the phone, he will be missed greatly. My love and thoughts to the family through this hard time. And Scotty you will be missed.

Dear Margaret and girls it is with great sadness I am writing this .But we want you to know our love and prayers are with you at this sad time.I remember him being born a month after Lana was born and how he used to tease her when we visited.The last time we spoke he said ,how is Lana banana going?Always the joker. Dear Margie – I was so sad to learn this awful news. I have fond memories of playing kiss chasey in the 70s, with poor Scotty hiding up the mulberry tree to get away from me (the Chinese burns, being locked in the stables, and being pelted with horse poo, I haven’t missed so much, but I’m guessing he eventually gave those habits up). Miss you mate. Remember building forts, cubbies, shooting air rifles, the mini bike, driving the old truck (in second gear only), Utes, the old holden wagon all by the age of 12. Trips to Kalgoorlie in the back of the horse truck, the trip down south in that little green hatchback of yours. Proudly bragging my cousins the manager and catching up at Limbos, and the Firm and that other one I can’t remember the name of. I always looked up to you even when I got taller. You were so strong for your Dad when he was struggling. You were so beautiful to my Mum and always included her in your adventures and life and you said such loving things to her before she past. There was always humour in them telling us that we needed the extra money for christmas shoping or whatever the occasion was. You will be missed amongst the staff at the hospital. Although we only met Scott a few times over the years through Ted’s 68 year friendship with Marg it struck us what a likeable fellow he was. It was an honour to attend his funeral yesterday albeit emotional. The tributes were extraordinary and highlighted a life well lived. To witness Scott’s workmates so respectfully following behind the hearse was a sight that will stay with us forever. Fly high Scott.. Onward and upward!
Leaving NSW with heavy hearts. Johnny and I were so glad to be able to come to see you off and not really surprised at the love you’d inspired in the community you’ve called home for the last years. I worked with Scottie at Lismore Base Hospital. Scott would be one of the most amazing men I’ve had the pleasure to know and work alongside. The compassion he showed to everyone, including complete strangers, is beyond a doubt his trademark trait. His laugh was infectious, his loyalty and friendship incomparable, and he was loved by everyone that knew him. I will treasure the moments I spent with him always.
